In 2009, Richard founded PAAC after working inside a reactive repair business. He saw the flaws in break-fix IT. Businesses were waiting for failure before getting help. That model did not protect revenue, productivity or security.
PAAC began as Personal Attention And Care in IT, delivering an AA-style breakdown package for home users. Instead of one-off repairs, customers received dependable cover and responsive support. The idea worked. The business grew. Three computer stores followed.
Eddie Joins The Team
As small businesses started asking for help, the model evolved. In 2015, Eddie left IBM Global Services and joined Richard. Together, they transformed breakdown cover into structured outsourced IT services for SMEs. What had protected home computers became proactive protection for growing organisations.
As demand increased, so did complexity. We introduced professional business IT support services using Autotask, layered cyber security services with ESET, and disaster recovery solutions with Datto. When GDPR arrived, clients turned to us for guidance. Eddie drew on his global compliance experience to build practical information security frameworks for SMEs. This marked the beginning of PAAC’s consulting capability.
In 2020, the pandemic changed everything. We closed our final retail stores and redirected every resource into helping clients transition to remote work. When the crisis stabilised, we moved into secure professional offices in Haslemere, with strong links to London, Portsmouth and Brighton. At the same time, cyber threats accelerated. We strengthened our IT security services and built layered business cyber protection into every client environment.
Jonathan Joins The Team
In 2022, Jonathan joined, bringing deep experience in programming and automation. He transformed our security stack, integrating monitoring, alerting and automation into a unified security operations capability. High-end protection linked directly into our helpdesk. Our outsourced IT support became structured, intelligent and proactive.
As the team matured, so did our leadership offering. Richard stepped into a CIO role for many clients. Jonathan operates as a CTO across complex estates. Together, they combine commercial awareness with technical depth to increase productivity, resilience and compliance.
Alan Joins The Team
In 2025, Eddie stepped back after passing on decades of experience. The foundations were strong. Alan joined as Finance Director, strengthening our commercial structure and bringing valuable hospitality sector insight. This sharpened our managed IT services London businesses and multi-site operators rely on.
With AI accelerating at the end of 2025, PAAC entered 2026 with a clear focus. We now help clients deploy Copilot, integrate AI into workflows and embed automation into their systems using our professional, practical approach.
